マクラメのジュエリー。Some macrame jewelry.

今日は良い天気！やっと春らしくなって来たような。うちはバスルームの全面改装真っ最中。かなり不便ですが、夢のバスルームを手に入れるためにしばし我慢。それについてはまた後ほど。

It's a nice weather today! Is this like "Spring has come!"? 

We are the middle of the bathroom full renovation. So it's very inconvenient to live but I have to be patient to get my dream bathroom soon. I'm going to write about it later. 

さて、前回に引き続き、この１年で作ったジュエリーのマクラメ編行きます。

Well this entry is about my jewelry what I made within last 1 year as well as last entry. It's Macrame stuff this time.

これはマクラメとはちょっと違うけど、コードと使った瑪瑙のブレスレット。

This one is not really macrame but a bracelet using code and some agates. 

これは簡単な三つ編みコードのブレスレット。

これはいわゆるマクラメネックレス。石はジャスパーだと思う。

This is a typical macrame necklace with a Jasper. 

アクアクリスタル。この感じのデザインでユニセックス／男性用も考え中。

With an aqua quartz. I'm thinking about uni-sex/for men kind with this type of design now. 

編んだだけのブレスレット。

A bracelet without stones.

翡翠とサンドオニックスのブレスレット。母の誕生日に。

A Jade and Sandonyx bracelet for my mom's birthday. 

この石はなんだろう？ I don't know what stone this is.

アメジスト、紫水晶。Amethyst. 

ジャスパー。Jasper. 

クリスタル。clear crystal.

大変な決断をしたお友達の心の平和を保つのを助けたいと思い作ったお守りです。石のパワーやスピリチャルなサイドに重きを置いてデザインはシンプルに作りました。グリーンのは、希望の石アマゾナイト。黄色いのは石ではなく、キリストの生まれた日に３人の賢者によって捧げられた宝物の一つ、乳香/フランキンセンス、樹液の塊です。とてもパワフルな薬効成分があります。

This piece was as an amulet for my dear friend who had made a very difficult decision. For her peace of mind, I made it with focusing more choice of power stones than fashionability. Blue stone is Amazonite which is called "stone of hope", helps to stay calm, and yellow one is Frankincense which is known as one of gifts to Jesus Christ when he was born. It's not really a stone it's a lump of tree sap which can be powerful medicine. And the main ingredient of it is my love.

同じくフランキンセンス。天然のハート型を活かしたデザイン。

The same Frankincense. I accentuated its natural heart shape. 

すこーし紫の入ったクリスタル。ちょっと凝ったデザイン、初挑戦。まだまた改善の余地ありです。

My first attempt of an intricate design with slightly purple hinted white crystal. It's not too bad but I can improve better!

マクラメは奥が深いのです。
I'm falling into Macrame world.

ワイヤーワークのジュエリー。また雪。Some wire worked jewelry. Snowing again.

朝から雪が降り続いています。今年は去年に比べて温かいと思っていたのですが、ここに来て度々雪が降ります。

It's been snowing from the morning. I thought that this winter is much milder than last year but snow has come often lately. 

部屋の中は雪明かりで良い感じ。温かい部屋にいる分には雪の日もいいけどね。

However, when you can stay in a warm, and bright house because of the reflections of snow, You would feel good about it.  

さて、前回に続き、今回は１年の間に作ったワイヤーワークのジュエリーを少し。

Well, Today I'm going to post some wire worked jewelry I have made within a year as well as last entry. 

スモーキークオーツで、カジュアルかつカッコいい目のデザインを、というご依頼で作りました。ペンダントは裏表でデザインが違うので、どちら側を使っても。

The Commissions of smoky quartz set. I was asked to make casual chic/cool style of them. The pendant head has different elements on each side so you can wear either way. 

シルバーワイヤーと濃いブルーの石で、というご依頼。ガーデニングがお得意な方だったので、ブルーベリークオーツでお豆のモチーフを作りました。

Order was with silver wire and deep blue stones. Since she was good at gardening, I made a green pea pod and its flowers with blueberry quartzes.  

薄ーいピンクのローズクオーツでちょっとガーリーなデザイン。

A romantic, girly design of a set with very pale pink rose quartzes. 

優秀なピアニストの方へのギフトにしたい、とのご依頼だったので、ピアノモチーフを。

To be asked to make the gift for an excellent pianist, I came up with those designs. 

バラのデザインを薄い水色で、というご依頼。アクアクオーツで。

Order was using rose motifs and pale blue stones. So I found those pretty aqua quartzes. 

琥珀の黄色がいいとのご依頼だったのですが、色が良い手頃の琥珀が手に入らなかったので、黄緑のプレナイトをご提案。気に入っていただけたので、黄色のクリスタルを組み合わせてより明るい印象にしてみました。

Initial order was with a pale yellow amber and silver wire. However, it was difficult to find right ones so I offered a pale green prehnite instead. She liked it so I combined it with yellow crystals to make it close to her original perception.

濃いピンクとシルバーで、というご依頼。石はピンク瑪瑙。

The order was silver wire main with some deep pink beads. So here they were. With pink agate. 

お母様のお誕生日プレゼントにしたいとのご依頼で。

A commission for her mother's birthday gift. 

ここの所気に入っている、ワイヤーをザラザラのコンクリートの上で叩いてテクスチャーを出す方法。夏先取りな感じのデザイン。

My latest favourite procedure is hammer wire down on the rough concrete surface to add the textures. These particular pair of earrings are very summery. 

普段ゴールドはあまり使わないのですが、この「ワイヤーの叩き（笑）」シリーズに関しては、シンプルなデザインのゴールドがとてもお気に入りです。

I don't use gold so often usually but when it comes with this procedure, I love using gold somehow. Especially when it's with simple line-drawing like designs. 

シルバーの叩きワイヤーとコードを組み合わせて。

Hammered silver plate wire with cotton cords. 

短い切り落としのワイヤーを再利用しようと思って作ってみたチェーン。一つだけ私のオリジナルの印、とでもいうか、渦巻き入り（笑）。ペンダントヘッドはラブラドライトだと思います。

I didn't want to waste chopped off short wires so I made a chain out of them. Did you notice that only one is a swirl? It's as for the mark of my original. lol. The head is a labradorite, I guess.

フワフワ〜フェルトの作品あれこれ。Some of my felted pieces.

この１年で作った色々な作品を少しずつ載せて行こうと思います。今日はフェルト系の作品。私はとても気の多いクラフターで、色々な素材やテクニックを試さずにはいられない！（笑）なので、これと言って専門が無い様な．．．でも最近テキスタイル系が好きなんじゃないかと自覚し始めました。フェルティングは最近のお気に入りです。

I'm going to post pictures of my handcrafted pieces a little by little which I have made during a year. I have way too many interests in materials and procedures as a craftist/artist. Since I want to try everything, it's difficult to say what it my specialty. However, my latest interest is felting stuff and I'm gradually realizing that I might be into all kind of textile related art.

これはフェルトじゃないのでついで。姪っ子のためにコットンの糸で編んだブタさん。

This one is not a felting one, just crochet with cotton yarn for my baby niece.

１年が過ぎ... It's been a year...

さて。前回のエントリーから１年過ぎてしまった事に気がつき．．．というのも昨日はバレンタインズデーでしたね。これを機会に再開しようと思いたちました。

Well, it's been a year since my last entry here...I realized it because of a Valentine's day yesterday. I will take it as a opportunity and will restart this blog again.

因に今年は雪の積もったバレンタインデーでした。ディナーは週末に持ち越して、夫とカードと小さなチョコレートの交換、そして私はデザートを作って、夫は私に花を送り．．．。とにかく今年も仲良く過ごせて良かと言う事で。笑

It was a snowy Valentine's day in this year. We postponed dinner to the weekend and just exchanged small chocolates and cards each other. I made some desserts and he gave me some flowers.  Anyways, the most importantly we are still nicely together. lol.

では今日はその辺りの写真だけを少し。

ブランマンジェ、ストロベリーとラズベリーのソースがけ、ハート形クッキー添え。
Blanc mange with strawberry and raspberry sauce, and heart shaped cookies on top.

今年夫に頂いた花束。実は先週買ったチューリップと混ぜてアレンジし直したものだけど、とってもお気に入り。

The flowers he gave me. Actually, I re-arranged it with the left over tulips from last week mixed together, but this one is my most favourite ever.

バレンタインズデー、春？そしてジュエリー制作。Valentaine's day, spring has come?, and Jewelry making.

春うらら！っと思ったら、昨夜はまた雪が降りました。是非これで最後にして頂きたい！

現在、義理母滞在中。特にコメントなし（笑）。家の狭さを実感、とだけ言いましょうか。

さて、今回は脈絡なく行きます。都会と田舎と色々と。

まずはバレンタインデーの事。

I thought that the spring has come once but it was snowing last night...that has to be the last one in this year, please!!!

This entry is random, about a city and a countryside, and starting with Valentine's day.

お花とカードはお約束ですね。北米は男性から女性に、が一般的ですが、私も小さなオモチャ（笑）とカードは夫に差し上げましたよ。お花の種類は私のリクエストで。流石にもう菊の花束は買って来なくなりましたが（笑）、一応ね。ラナンキュラスです。

Flowers and card would be must items for girls. So my husband gave these flower to me by my request. He has stopped to buy me Chrysanthemum which is typical FUNERAL flowers in Japan, lol, but he still needs a suggestion to get right ones for me? lol. Ranunculus.

ディナーは最近のブリューイングレストラン、トレーディングポストへ。この日は特別なコースとオリジナルビールのマッチングディナーでした。ミュージシャンの生演奏付き。

私は、最愛の我が亡き猫ニコの写真入りのハートのロケットを付けて行きました。

Trading Post Brewing

We went for dinner to nearby brewing restaurant becouse they had special beer matching course menu at that night. A nice musician was there too. I wore a heart shaped locket where my beloved kitty picture is in.

バレンタイン特別メニュー。

いつものパブっぽいメニューとは全く違ってとてもユニークかつ美味しいコースでちょっと感動。これらのディッシュもレギュラーメニューに加えて欲しいなぁ。

It was so good and was totally different from they regular pub-ish menu. I want them in the regular menu from now on.

バンクーバーダウンタウンの写真を少し。私の古巣です。やっぱりいいなぁ。

Here are some random pictures from Vancouver where I still miss a lot. 

何でもない街中の風景ですが、夕日がきれいだったので。

It was nothing special but colours of sky in the evening. Beautiful!

これは両親の住む４０階の部屋からパノラマで撮ってみました。雲がユニークだったのでね。バンクーバーは美しい街だなぁ、と何時見ても思います。海と山、そして洗練された都会の風景。

This one is the view from my parent’ room on the 40th floor. I saw unique cloud hover over inlet. I have never been, I will never be tired of  beauty of Vancouver. 

バンクーバーのイーストサイドに建つこの大きなインスタレーションはもう有名ですが、これ、私の先生の作品なんです。キャピラノ大学のスタジオアートで彼の絵のコースを２年続けて取っていました。とてもユニークなおじ様です（笑）。彼の絵もとても美しいんですよ。

Marcus Bowcott

This huge art installation in East Vancouver is already famous but actually is created by one of my respectable teachers at the university. When I was in Studio Art in Capilano U,  I took his painting courses for 2 years straight. His paintings are also so beautiful!

そして久々のグランビルアイランドのサンドバーへお友達とディナーへ。

And we got together with some friends at The Sandbar in Granville island the other night.

初めてバンクーバーの両親を訪ねた1995年に連れて来てもらって以来、何度も訪れたアイコニックなシーフードレストランは未だに健在です。この夜は、お友達の新しい、遠距離恋愛なボーイフレンドを紹介してもらうために何人かで集って、プレバレンタインディナーみたいな感じでした。例に寄って、女性陣はチビ日本人達で、男性人は皆とっても背の高い白人、というハイコントラストでキュートな私達（笑）。（写真はお借りしました。）

Since my parents took me there first time in 1995, It becomes one of my memorable, favourite places. I'm glad it's still there lively. It was for kind of pre-valentine's dinner with friends because one of my friend's very new boyfriend was visiting her from California for Valentine's day. We were a cute group of the high contrast as super tall white boys and tiny Japanese girls. lol.

例によって食べる事に夢中で全然写真を撮っていない！（苦笑）。これは前菜に頼んだシュリンプカクテル。エビのあまりの大きさに驚いて写真を撮ったので、唯一これだけ載せておきます。プリップリ！この後メインにその日に入荷されている新鮮なお魚のメニューからソードフィシュを頂きました。すんごく美味しかった！

Because I forgot to take pictures of all beautiful dishes as well, -too excited to eat! lol- I had only picture of our appetizer, a prawn cocktail, which was surprisingly huge to make me take a picture of. 

Everything tasted amazing.

こちらもバンクーバーダウンタウンですが、フェアモントパシシックリムホテルで２月末まで行われているJapan Unlayered というイベントを見に行き、そこで和菓子とほうじ茶のセットを頂きました。メインの目的は無印良品のポップアッポショップだったのですが、それ自体は小さすぎて何とも。でもMUJIの大きなお店が２店舗、今年の冬、バンクーバーにオープする事が決まったそうで、あ、それならいいや！と。いや、和菓子がおいしかったので良しとします。

Another day in Vancouver in Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel, we had very nice Japanese tea and sweet sets, which was a part of the event called Japan Unlayered. (till the end of Feb.) My main interest of the event was to see a Muji pop up shop. The brand is very popular in Japan and in some other countries. That pop up shop was too small and not wowed me as I expected. However it's okay because they have announced that are going to bring two big, non-temporally shops in Vancouver in this winter. And a Japanese sweet satisfied me anyway.

最近作ったジュエリー。こちらはご注文品。このブルーめのうは紐で繋げられているものをまとめて買ったので、これ以前すでに４つ違うデザインのネックレスをお出ししました。今回、また違うデザインを考えていたとき、横に使ってみようと思い付き．．．穴が縦にあけられているので当たり前のように縦のセッティングばかり考えていたのです。結構お気に入り。

Some jewelry I made lately.

That One was for a commission. I already used 4 same stones in deferent design. In this time I came up with the idea that setting a stone horizontally even they have holes through vertically. I liked the result. 

自分の普段使いよう。フックではなくてステイオンのタイプをやって見たくなりました。そしてこの色。裏にピンをセットした上のビースは意外な使い方だと思います。

They are for my daily use. I like using materials differently from the original way that it should be used. 

これはもう本当にシンプルで、でもちょっとエレガントだと良いな、と思ってただ小さな淡水パールをセットしました。長いボールチェーンを２重巻きで付けます。

Just a simple set of tiny pure water pearls. I aimed this for causal yet elegant looking to wear. 

前回のエントリーに、お顔を考え中と載せたこの子はこうなって、無事にベビーへのギフトになるべく旅立ちました。

I potes it on a previous entry while I was thinking of a face. It was done like that and sole as a someone's baby shower gift.

２つ目のあみぐるみはウサギさん。嬉しい事に、すでに可愛い女の子の腕の中で一緒に眠っている様です。

The second crochet stuffing animal was rabbit. I heard that it has already been in a cute young girl's arms and been sleeping together with. I'm so happy about it.
