BCデーの３連休中です。ここに来てまた暑くなっちゃいました。フォートラングレーはバンクーバーよりいつも若干暑く、３０度超えが続きます。
It's a BC day long weekend now. It has been hot again lately. Fort Langley is usually a little hotter than Vancouver and everyday get over 30 degrees.
さて、7月２３日は私達の４回目の結婚記念日。オンタイムではなかったのですが、７月最後の金曜日にちょっと特別なディナーをする事にしました。
行った場所は、ノースバンクーバー、グラウスマウンテンの頂上にある、オブザーバトリーというレストランです。グラウスマウンテンは、グラウスグラインドという、頂上までどれぐらいの時間で登れるかのマラソンみたいなスポーツで有名ですね。でも私達はもちろんケーブルカーで行きます。
Well, July 23rd was our 4th wedding anniversary. We couldn't do anything special on time but we arranged our special dinner on the last day of July.
A place we chose was The Observatory, the restaurant on top of Grouse mountain, North Vancouver. The mountain is popular for the marathon like sport called Grouse grind which is time trial to get the mountain top. Of course we took a cable car at that day. lol.
スカイライドというケーブルカーに乗る前の駐車場の辺。木の彫刻がカナダしてます。ここへ来たのも随分久しぶりです。
It's been a long time since I went there. A sculpture at the parking area of the bottom of mountain looked so Canadian!!
レストランに予約を入れている人は、ゲストセンターに行って予約を確認してもらうと、約４０ドルもするスカイライドのチケットをただでもらえます。
If you made a reservation with the Observatory, You can get free tickets of Skyride (Cable car), which cost about $40 each, at the guest centre beside Sktride station.

かなりの角度で登って行くケーブルカーからの眺め。バンクーバーの全貌や、
Look at this view! Very steep. You could see all Vancouver,
湖や太平洋の島々まで。いいお天気です。気温も暑いくらい。
And a lake, and far islands in the pacific. The weather was amazing and still warm.
予約の時間は８時半で、１時間まえには付いていたので、
Our reservation was 8:30 and we got the top a hour before so...
ますは２つあるレストランのカジュアルなパブの方へ。テラスのテーブルでこの絶景を眺めながらの冷たいドリンクは格別です。私のはマンゴダイキュリー。
We took a nice patio table at the casual pub side at first. I had a frozen mongo daiquiri as looking at this magnificent view.
ファインダイニングのオブザーバトリーでは室内の落ち着いたテーブルでゆっくり。日が沈んで行く時のレストランの窓はまるで絵の様です。
Then we moved to inside of the fine dining. When sun was setting, the windows became like beautiful paintings.
アペタイザーは、左が新鮮なチーズのサラダ、もちもちです。右が和牛の韓国風タルタルでです。どちらも美味しかった！
Our appetizers were a fresh cheese salad (left), and a wagu beef tartar with Korean sauce. I liked both of them.
メインは左がスティールヘッド（大型のマスみたいな魚）、右がポーク。こちらは両方ともまぁまぁかな。盛りつけやソースはどれも素晴らしかったです。
For our antree, we picked a steelhead dish (left), and a pork dish. They tasted bit too plain for me but display and garnish were great.
レストランの横にはデッキがあって、お料理を待つ間、写真を撮りました。夕暮れ時の９時頃。実はこの時、大きなオレンジ色の月も登って来て本当に美しかった！私のカメラでは撮りきれません。
There was a deck right beside the restaurant so we enjoyed taking pictures while we were waiting for food. At that night, the moon-rise and sun-set was just a minuet different around 9. The huge orange moon was rising to the pink sky but it was too difficult to capture that beauty by an ordinary camera.
暗くなってバンクーバーの町が輝きだし．．．
City lights started twinkling after sun set...
どうです、なかなかの大都会でしょ？（笑）でもカラフルなネオンが殆どなく、オレンジの柔らかな光ほぼ一色の夜景は私のお気に入りです。
And become like this! Wow! Vancouver was huge and bright! lol. However, there were no much showy neons in the city so the orange soft coloured lights are always my favourite.
今年も素晴らしい記念日を過ごせた事を、当たり前と思わずに感謝したいです。そしてさらに良い１年を過ごします！
I won't take it for grant that we were able to have another fabulous anniversary in this year too. I really appreciate it, and making good efforts to spend better quality of 5th year with my sweet husband.
