カナディアンロッキーを超えて。ラングレー B.C. ⇄ イーストクーリー A.B. (1) 。 Our road trip to East Coulee A.B. (1)

We had a rode trip for 8 days from Sunday September 13th to Sunday 20th. Our final destination was East coulee, Alberta where my husband mother lives. It was about total 2,200 km driving so we needed to stay over some nights in towns in between. This entry in about the first day of the trip, from Fort Langley to Revelstoke B.C.

Revelstoke located about a half way to our destination and also right beside of Trans Canada #1 Highway so it was convenient to stay there. First 3 photos were taken from car window as driving on #1 Hwy. I have experienced the road trips to Canadian Rocky sometimes before but every time it took my breath away.

What a colour was that!

After about 5 hours driving we reached a small town, Revelstoke.

The town was quiet may be because of the end of the season or just because it was Sunday evening?

We were looking for somewhere nice for dinner as sight seeing in the town. We found a set cool sculpture of salmons and a sturgeon.

And we decided to go this pub, Village Idiot, where looked like one of a western movie set. What a funny name!

We got a table in the patio at first. The chair in the fore side was a sky lift chair.

It was getting chilly so we moved inside the pub. It was so sky lodge-ish.

We didn't expect so much from them for food but actually they were good! The pizza crust would be made from scratch and Wazabi mayo tuna salad was also yummy. Our beers were of course local IPAs. We enjoyed them all.
We stayed in a motor inn the night there and were heading to Banff, A.B.,  the city of Canadian Rocky next day.
