さて、この週末に出来上がったもの。完成図から。
Things we have done on this weekend. Completed pics first.
アンティークのドアを使って間仕切りにした、って言うのを狙って作りました。キッチンとリビンクをちょっとだけ分けるため。
A door we made like antique one. Used as a partition between the kitchen and the living room.
そしてベッドルームの窓のシャッター。こちらもアンティーク調を狙って。
And shutters for the bed room windows. They look also antique-ish.
ではコテージペイントのやり方をご紹介。
Here is how to cottage paint.
使ったのはこちら。ブルーは、元の色にちょっと白を足して明るくしました。水性で、マット。チョークの様な風合いの塗料で、コテージやファームハウス、ビーチハウスの様な、カントリー調に仕上がります。
I used these products called Cottage paint. Texture was mat like chalk so good for farm house, beach house-ish style.
まずはドアから。レイアウトの段階。
Layout of the door.
木を組み立てて普通の白いペンキで塗りました。
Painted white with a regular interior paint.
その上に薄めに水色を重ね塗り。
Thinly painted of Cottage blue over white. And distressed a bit.
アンティークショップで探して来た鉄格子を奇麗にしてから白いコテージペイントを塗り、
Cleaned and painted white cottage paint onto antique grills which we found at a antique store.
角をこすってちょっと古びた感じを出し、
Distressed corners.
木枠にセット。
Set them to the frame.
次はシャッター。
Shutters.
木材は、倉庫などで品物を積み上げるのに使うパレットを壊して使用。なので、表面はデコボコ、ザラザラ。それが返って良いかなと。まずは普通の白いペンキを。
We picked some discarded pallets to use for shutters. So surface was uneven and rough but we liked that better. Applied regular white interior paint first.
乾いたらコテージペイントのブルーを塗ります。
Applied cottage blue over.
１時間程乾かして、濡れた布で角や薄くしたい所を擦ると、ブルーがはげて、下の白が出てきます。そのムラがちょっと古っぽい感じを出して良いんです。
Dried one hour and wipe corners and where you want with damp cloth off to distress.
良い感じに古びさせたら、ヴァーニッシュというコート剤をぬって保護します。この後は、もう擦っても色を落とす事はできません。
Shielded with varnish so you can't distress any further.
まだ天井が出来ていないのですが、ちょっとはファームハウスの様になりました。
Attached them to the window! Ceiling is not finished yet but doesn't it look like farmhouse window?
