木曜日の事。父の従姉妹お２人が日本から訪ねていらっしゃいました。そこで私は一日ツアーガイドを申し使ったので、朝からバンクーバーに向かいました。９時に到着。フォートラングレーに引っ越してから自力でそんな早くにバンクーバーに出て行った事はなかったので、自己満足。やれば出来るじゃないか！（笑）
It was on Thursday. I was being a tour guide for my dad's cousins from Japan for a day. I got Vancouver downtown early (to me) in the morning around 9 for a first time by public transportation since I moved into Fort Langley. It wasn't too bad. I was proud of myself. lol
彼女達のリクエストでまずはキャピラノ吊り橋にご案内。私はなんと２０年ぶりです（大学はキャピラノユニバーシティーだったくせに）。キャピラノ吊り橋にはダウンタウンカら無料のシャトルバスに乗りました。いくつかのホテル前で乗れるのですが、私達はロブソン通りのブルーホライゾンホテルから。１０分おきに出ているし、バスを待つ間にキャピラノ吊り橋のチケット（入場料）が買えるので、あちらで長い列に並ばなくて済みました。チケットほぼ＄４０です。驚きの高さ！
By their request, I took them and my mom to Capilano Suspension bridge. For myself, it been a looooon time since last time went there around 20 years ago (even though I was a student of Capilano University). There were free shuttle buses available for Vancouver downtown. We got it in front of Blue Horizon Hotel on Robson Street, and we could get tickets for the bridge right there too so we didn't have to get the long line-up for the tickets there. Bus ran once in every 10 min and stopped by many hotels downtown so it was so easy. However, the tickets for Capilano Suspension bridge was now about $40 each!! Wow, way too expensive.
そしてこの混みよう！観光シーズンなのでしょうがないですがね。沢山に人が一気に歩くので揺れる事揺れる事！スリル満点です。
It was a high season so couldn't help this. Look at the amount of people on the bridge! When bunch of of people walk together the bridges swung a lot. So thrilling!
吊り橋を渡った向こうに木の上を渡り歩くツリーワォークがあります。初めて歩いたのですが、なかなか良いもんですね。
There were the tree-walk in the other side of the bridge. It was the first time for me to walk on those things. We enjoyed them.
こちらも多少揺れます。
They were a bit shaky too.
休憩所にはこんな方が、こぼれたスナックのおこぼれを探して這いずり回っていました。
This kind of guy always shows up for snick-seeking at the touristy sites as well.
その後はロンスデールキーマッケットでランチをしてからシーバスでダウンタウンへ。カナダプレースのアトラクション、フライオーバーカナダへご案内しました。
これは４Dムービーで、スクリーンの中に突き出す特殊な椅子は動き、上下左右に映し出される映像の中、風やしぶきを感じる様は、むき出しのヘリコプターでカナダを東から西に向かって地表すれすれを飛び抜ける様です。とってもスリリングです。
父従姉妹のお２人は日本人らしくたった４日間の弾丸ツアー。このアトラクションは１５分ほどですが、カナダ全土を一気に旅した気分になれるんじゃないかと。予想通り、母を含めたお三方は大喜びでした。実は２度目の私もまたもや感動してしまった。カナダはなんて美しい国なんでしょう！おすすめです。(詳しくはインクからサイトをこらん下さい）
After that, we went to Lonsdale quay by a city bus and had lunch there at Quay Market. And then we took a sea bus, as a part of an attraction, to went back to Vancouver downtown.
And I took them to Canada place for the attraction, Fly over Canada.
It was a 4D movie with moving chairs floating the middle of the movie screen surrounding and made you feel like flying high and low above Canada from east to west. You would even feel water spray and wind against your face. It was so real and thrilling.
Since my dad's cousins had only 4 days in Canada, I thought that was efficiently way made them extra experiences of Canada in very short time -actually about only 15 min-, and yes, they were ecstatic and even my mom too. It was a second time for myself but I was so moved again. Canada, you are oh so beautiful! I strongly recommend it to you all.
そして夕方はグランビルアイランドへ。まずパブリックマーッケットでお土産のお買い物。サーモンジャーキーや持ち帰れる海鮮ものをお探しだったので、日本人経営のお魚屋さんへ。ここはさすが、新鮮で種類も豊富、日本人に取っては痒い所に手が届く感じのお魚屋さんですよ。（写真はお借りしました）
We went to the public market in Granville island at last. I took them to Japanese fish shop, Seafood City where always has great selection of fresh seafood. They got some salmon jerkies. (borrowed a pic)
夕食は、これを狙っていたんですけど．．．
あいにくの雨模様。とっても久しぶりの雨がよりによってこの夜に。ブリッジレストランです。もちろん中の席に通されました。弟家族と両親、私の夫も合流して家族総勢１０人のディナーでした。（ブリッジのデッキの写真はお借りしました）
I aimed this for dinner when I made a reservation but it unfortunately rained. So we got a table inside of Bridges restaurant in Granville Island. My brother's family, parents, and my husband joined for dinner. We were a group of 10. ((borrowed a pic)
それでもシーフードかご所望だったお２人には喜んで頂けました。
They preferred seafood so they were still happy for the dinner there.

レストランはカジュアルで、お料理もさほどこっていませんが、美味しかったし楽しかった！家族一緒はいいですね。
The restaurant was casual and food was authentic. We enjoyed it!

さて、これは金曜日の夕方。近所のカフェの川沿いのデッキで。今日、日曜日は夏至ですね。一番長い日です。日没は９時１９分、しかしそこから暗くなるまでの夕焼けタイムがあるので、きっと真っ暗になるのは１０時半すぎるのではないでしょうか。夏の始まりです。そしてHappy Father's day!
Well, that was on Friday evening and nothing special. A deck of nearby cafe on the river side was good. Today, on Sunday is the summer solstice, a longest day and the first day on Summer in the year. Sunset is 9:19 here but it would be followed by pick sky for a while so actually getting dark would be around 10:30? Will see. And also Farther's day. Happy summer and happy father's day to all!
