食材の種類が今一足りないな、と思った時などハーブが簡単に出に入ると便利ですよね。昨日はシンプルにマッシュルームとガーリックのパスタ、と思ったんですが、庭から沢山ハーブを摘んで来て入れてみました。パープルセージとオレガノです。ここに引っ越して以来、まったく手入れもせずプランターごと庭にほおってあるのですが、大きく成長しています。良い香りです。
It's very convenient if a bunch of herbs are always available, especially when you have lack of ingredient for cooking meals. Last night was like that. I planed to cook a mushroom and garlic pasta but I got the idea to include a lot of herbs form my yard. They were Purple sages and oreganos. We have been abandoned them in the planter in the yard since we moved in here, however, those herbs have grown bigger since then! They are so aromatic.
できたパスタの見栄えは今一ですが、味や香りは良かったです。肉なしの我が家典型的簡単ディナー（笑）
So then, this was it. It looked nothing special but flavour was fantastic! Our typical non-meat meal.
そして新入りハーブのシソです。欲しいと思ってい所、日曜日の遊びに来てくれたお友達がお土産にくれました。ノースショアーにある日本のオーガニックグロサリー、タマオーガニックライフから。もう少し大きく育ったら外に植え替えたいと思います。楽しみ！
And one more, it's new comer, Shiso herb baby. Shiso is kind of like Japanese basil. I have been wanting this for a while and luckily my friend who visited us on Sunday gave it to us. It was from Tama Organic life, a Japanese grocery in North shore. Can't wait to taste it!
これは夫作のミントティー。ティーと言ってもお茶っ葉は使っていなくて熱湯を庭から摘んで来たミントに注ぎ、モーヒートみたいにちょっと圧し潰してから蜂蜜を入れて冷やした飲み物。アムステルダムで覚えたミントティーです。私にはちょっと磨き粉みたいでいちなんですが（笑）。
This is my husband favourite mint tea. However, there is no tea leaf used. He picked some fresh mint leaves form our yard and poured hot water on top. Crush mints a bit like making Mojito and add a tea spoon of honey. He made it cold. We learnt it in Amsterdam. To me it's a little strong and I felt like having tooth paste. lol.
そしてアボカド。４月１６日の記事、に食べた後のアボカドの種を水栽培使用と思うと書いたのですが、やっと目が出ました。（以前の記事は下記のリンクから）
ずいぶん時間がかかるもんなんですね〜。後ろに写る３つの家つも発芽しています。ここカナダでアボカドの収穫ドッサリ！とは行かないと思いますが、アボカドラバーとして（笑）、インテリアになる程度には育てたいと思います。
I posted about it on April 16th but they are finally sprouted! Wow it took long time to sprout but here they are. (Old link about that is above). I don't think that we can harvest avocado fruits here is Canada but at least, as a avocado lover, lol, I'm going to try to take care of them till they become nice size of interior greens.

久々のお裁縫企画。カウチに置くクションのカバーを製作中です。出来上がりはまた後ほど。アクセントにコントンの毛糸（毛じゃないけど）で刺繍してみました。
It's been while to have a sewing project. I'm making some billow covers for on a living room couches. It's still a middle of making so I'll post a picture of completion later but here are pics of process. I'm embroidering for accents with using a thick cotton yarn.
布にパターンを敷くのは難しいし汚したくないので、トレシングペーパーにグリッドと書いて下敷きにして刺して行きます。出来たら紙は破き取ってしまいます。とても刺しやすくって良い方法を思いつきました。クロススッテッチ用などの専門品もあるかもしれませんが、ザックリ大きいパターンにはこれで十分でした。
It was difficult to draw lines directly on top of a cloth so I made a template with a sheet of tracing paper. Stitch over it was much easier. After finish you can rip it away.

ついで。細切れにしてしまったワイヤーを捨てるのはもったいなかったのでこんなの作ってみました。15mm弱の小さなハート２つ繋。３っつでもいいかも。
In addition. I had some short wire pieces unused and too wasteful to chuck them out so I made them, a pair of earrings. About 15mm of small hearts. Could it be 3 together though?
